Our School Day and Times
Morning
The children are expected to arrive at school for registration at 8:45am.
The gates close at 8:45am.
Children should be settled in class, completing their ‘morning challenge’ before the register closes at 8:45am.
Children arriving between 8:45am and 9:15am will need to enter school via the school office reception desk and will be marked as ‘late’ in the register. Those arriving after 9:15am will lose the attendance mark for the morning.
Afternoon
The school day finishes at 3.15pm
Total time - 32.5 hours per week

School Lunches
School Meals are provided by Lunch Shop
Lunch Shop have developed a simple electronic system that allows families to pre-order lunches for their child. Lunch Shop provide a range of hot and cold dishes, meat and vegetarian options daily. There is also a selection of healthy dessert items to choose from.
School meals must be ordered in advance. If you choose to order a lunch on the same day. then the order must be received before 9am.
Every child will be issued a username and login details. Please logon online or download the Lunch Shop app; this service will allow you to order lunches, explore the menu or view ingredients.
Meals for the younger children in school are free – this applies to pupils in Reception, Y1 and Y2.
There is a charge for meals for children in Key Stage 2 – Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6.
Children who are eligible for Free School meals will receive a free lunch. Please contact the school office to find out if you are eligible for free school meals. Even if you feel as though you may not qualify, it is a simple process and is always worth checking.

School Uniform
We ask all our children to wear the correct Leigh St Mary’s school uniform.
All uniform should be labelled or clearly marked with the child’s name.

We have a large stock of second hand uniform. Please contact the office to request a certain item.
Alternatively, if you have any good quality uniform items to donate then please bring them to the school office.

The Nest - Breakfast Club
The Nest is our school breakfast club provision. Organised by school staff, the sessions run term-time Monday to Friday. Sessions start at 7:45am and finish at 8:45am when children are taken to their respective classrooms to start their school day.
